My 2012 Christmas Decor Home Tour - Part 1

Christmas is definitely my most favorite holiday!  As you may recall from the last couple of years, I absolutely LOVE to deck out my home for this wonderful season.

If you missed

My 2011 Christmas Decor Home Tour

, be sure and check it out.   You'll notice that I've made a lot of changes to my house since last year. (New furniture, some new paint and new curtains.) I really haven't shown ya'll any of the changes, so you'll be able to get a peek at some of those changes during my tour.

Today, I'm sharing Part 1 of my Christmas Decor.  I had to split it up into two posts, because I have way too many photo's for one post.

Today, you'll see the front porch, the entry way, staircase and the kitchen.

Tomorrow, you'll see the breakfast nook, family room and living room.

So here goes...

Front Porch & Entry Door

Welcome to my 2012 Christmas Decor Home Tour...

Here's a wreath that I added a few things to and hung on my front door.

and I just used sticks, greens and a few ornaments for the urns on the porch.

Now.. let's take a look at what you see when you walk in the front door...

Entry & Staircase

My stairs are the first thing you'll see.

I added to the garland this year.

I added different ribbons, poinsettia's, a few ornaments and some snowflakes.

Also in the entry way is where I set up my willow tree nativity set. This year, I hot-glued a Christmas tree star ornament (from the dollar tree) to the top of the stable thing...

and a little spanish moss was added as well.

I just LOVE this set.

Here's the view of the entry from upstairs...

 ... and another from upstairs.

Here's the view from the living room (I'll show you the living room tomorrow.)

and here's the view from the kitchen.  Speaking of the kitchen... here's what it looks like...

Kitchen

There's really not too much done to the kitchen. Just some simple arrangements on the bar stools

and a little arrangement sitting in a niche.

Here's my kitchen command center area.  You can see a little of the breakfast nook to the left there.  I'll show you that area tomorrow too.

I made the Noel sign with items that I had around the house.

I added some chicken wire to the inside of a frame, spray painted it black and this is where I hang some of my Christmas Cards this year.

and the rest go into this little sleigh.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the rest of the tour, which includes the breakfast nook, the family room and the living room.

May you be a little inspired!

Until next time,

DaNita
