My New Organized Laundry Room

I designed my laundry room to have plenty of storage.

On one side of the laundry room is the washer & dryer with a folding counter and cabinets above for storage.

Next to the washer and dryer, I wanted a shelving unit to hold baskets for clean, folded clothing and a place for a dirty clothes basket underneath.

On the other side of the laundry room I wanted a bench with space above and below for storage. I have baskets to hold winter gear and miscellaneous items above and for shoes below. We included a closet on this side of the room for my vacuum cleaner and ironing board. I do hang clothing in this closet as well.

Take a peek inside my laundry room:

This space stays clean and tidy most of the time, because I have a system to my laundry that is pretty easy to maintain.

I do 1-2 loads of laundry a day. I wash, dry and fold (straight from the dryer) and put clean clothes into the baskets right away. When those baskets fill up, my family puts their clothes away in their rooms. It’s an easy system. I’ve been doing this for many years and it works great for us.

I made these laundry room labels recently. They can be found HERE. Just download, print and attach to jars or baskets.
