A Clean and Organized Laundry Room

I recently finished organizing and decorating my laundry room.

I painted the cabinets and countertop in Farmhouse Paint, White Ash color.

These jars hold Oxi-Clean, Clothes Pins & Dryer Sheets

A simple bookcase with baskets hold clean, folded clothing.

Under the sink is cleaning supplies, rags and a garbage can.

Tip jar for loose change found in pockets.

It feels great to have a clean and organized laundry room.

Here are some tips and tricks that I use right now to keep up with the laundry in my home:

• My older boys do their own laundry.

• I do laundry for four of us. I do laundry every day, starting a batch right off in the morning.

• I wash, dry and fold about 1-2 loads of laundry a day.

• My rule is to fold the clothes straight from the dryer. 

• The clean, folded clothes get placed into the proper basket in the laundry room.

• Clean clothes that I hang are put directly onto hangers from the dryer. 

• The clothes that I don't dry, simply get placed on hangers and onto the hanging bar, straight from the washer.

• When the baskets are full, my husband and I put our own clothes away into our room/closet and our little boys bring their entire basket into their rooms and put their clothes away into their drawers/closets, returning their baskets back to the laundry room.

This system has worked well for me and my family. It’s easy to keep up and I rarely have an overwhelming amount of laundry to catch up on.
