Home Tour Decorating Ideas
come take a tour of Our Last Home
We built this home and moved into it in September 2024 and lived here until January 2026 and even though we’ve since moved on, I still wanted to share the tour with you all.
We loved this home (it’s very similar to the last home we built) and we’ll probably build another one very similar to it again, as it works really well for our family.
The Entryway:
The entryway was the first glimpse into our home, and I wanted it to feel welcoming and comfortable right away.
The Living Room:
The front tv/piano/living room was used often. It was a small cozy space.
The Family Room:
The family room is where we spent the most of our time. We wanted it to feel comfortable rather than overly formal.
The open concept was one of my favorite things about this home.
The Kitchen
I absolutely loved how our kitchen came together! But my favorite part of the kitchen was the walk in pantry. I’ve shared a glimpse of this pantry before in this Pantry Organization Post.
The Dining Area:
Our dining area/breakfast nook was small but cozy.
The Laundry Room/Mud Room
I designed this area to have built in storage. The laundry room was on one side of this room and the mudroom area on the other side. When building a home, I plan and design each space for organized living. Baskets next to the washer and dryer for clean folded clothes with a dirty clothes hamper below and spaces on the opposite side of the room for shoes, coats, winter gear and more storage.

The sauna & Bathroom
The sauna bathroom was off the garage and was used almost every night. My husband loves his saunas! We both grew up with Saunas in our homes and every home we’ve built so far has had one.
Thanks for Coming Along!
And that’s our home tour of the last home. Thanks for coming along and taking a peek inside our last home.
I hope this tour gave you a few ideas or simply made you feel inspired to look at your own home with fresh eyes. Sometimes you don't need a complete makeover - a few thoughtful changes can make your space feel brand new.
May you be a little inspired.
Until Next Time,
