Organizing my Bathroom Cabinets

An organized bathroom cabinet makes it easier to find the products you use every day and keep your beauty supplies neat and accessible. When I reorganized my master bathroom cabinet, I used affordable containers from the dollar store and fun labels to give everything its own place.

From skincare and hair products to makeup, lotions, and extra toiletries, creating a designated spot for each category made this space feel much more organized. Here’s a look at how I organized my bathroom cabinets with simple, budget-friendly storage solutions.

I already showed you my unique jewelry organizing post a while back.

How to Organize Bathroom Cabinets with Affordable Containers

1. Group Similar Bathroom Products Together

One of the easiest ways to organize bathroom cabinets is to group similar items together. I separated my products into categories so everything would be easier to find.

Some of the categories in my cabinet included:

  • Face and skincare products

  • Body lotions and personal-care products

  • Hair products and styling supplies

  • Makeup and makeup bags

  • Bubble bath and candles

  • Extra toiletries and backup products

  • Hand, foot, and nail-care supplies

  • Haircutting and grooming supplies

Grouping items by category helps create a more functional storage system and makes it easier to see what you already have.

2. Use Affordable Containers to Organize Bathroom Cabinets

You don't have to spend a lot of money to organize your bathroom. I used inexpensive containers from the dollar store to separate my beauty supplies and keep smaller items from getting mixed together.

Choose containers that fit your cabinet shelves and the products you plan to store. Smaller bins work well for grouping similar items, while larger containers can hold backup supplies or bulkier products.

Before buying anything new, take inventory of the storage containers you already own. You may be able to create an organized system with items you have at home.

3. Add Labels to Keep Everything Organized

Labels make it easier to identify what belongs in each container and return items to their proper places. I used fun, shaped labels to give my bathroom storage a little personality.

You can label containers by product category, such as skincare, hair care, lotions, or extra toiletries. Choose labels that are easy to read and that make sense for the way you use your bathroom.

The goal is to create a system that is both attractive and easy to maintain.

4. Create a Space for Everyday Essentials

Keep the products you reach for most often in convenient, easy-to-access spots. Store less frequently used items and backup supplies in separate containers so they don't crowd your everyday essentials.

I created a place for my makeup bag, daily beauty products, and other personal-care items. I also set aside space for extra products I like to keep on hand.

A little planning can make your morning and evening routines feel much simpler.

5. Organize Extra Toiletries and Beauty Supplies

Bathroom cabinets often become catch-all spaces for lotions, grooming tools, and extra products. Giving these items their own designated containers helps prevent clutter from building up.

I used separate containers for extra toiletries, haircutting supplies, and products for hands and feet. Having everything grouped together makes it easier to find what I need without searching through the entire cabinet.

For an even more functional setup, periodically check your supplies and remove products you no longer use.

Enjoy Your Organized Bathroom Cabinets

I love how much better it feels to have my beauty supplies organized and everything in its own place. Affordable containers and simple labels can make a big difference without requiring an expensive bathroom makeover.

If your bathroom cabinets need a little attention, start with one shelf, group similar products together, and find a container for each category.
